What Does The Tacoma NSA Adult Chapter Do?

  • We create a space where adults who stutter can connect, share, and grow—without judgment.
  • We host meetups, events, and discussions that build confidence and community.
  • We empower each other through support and real talk about living with stuttering.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

Every person who stutters deserves a place where they feel understood. Through monthly meetings, social gatherings, and community events, we foster a space where people can freely share their experiences, struggles, and victories—without fear or judgment.

Whether it’s practicing self-advocacy, speaking in front of a group, or just ordering at a coffee shop, we encourage and support each other in gaining confidence in everyday interactions. We also invite guest speakers and experts to provide insights on self-growth and communication.

We believe in lifting each other up. Our chapter provides a strong network of peers who’ve got your back—whether you’re celebrating a win or working through a challenge. Together, we educate, advocate, and push for greater awareness of stuttering in our communities.

WHY DO WE DO IT?

but it doesn’t have to be. Many adults go through life without ever meeting another person who stutters, leading to feelings of frustration and loneliness. Our chapter exists to change that.

we provide support, encouragement, and the knowledge that you’re never alone. We believe that everyone’s voice matters—no matter how it sounds.
